Zainab is a Penetration Tester at INNERLUXES, where she spends her days trying to break the systems her colleagues build — so that real attackers never get the chance. She runs web and network penetration testing across client environments, probing applications, APIs, and infrastructure for the weaknesses that automated scanners miss.

Her work goes beyond finding flaws. Zainab carries out vulnerability assessments and threat modeling early in the delivery cycle, helping teams understand where they are exposed before a single line of risky code reaches production. She maps how an attacker would actually move through a system, then turns that picture into clear, prioritized fixes that developers can act on.

She also reviews code with a security lens, reading through application logic to catch injection points, broken access control, and unsafe handling of sensitive data. By pairing secure code review with hands-on testing, she gives clients a grounded view of their risk — not a checklist, but a practical plan to close the gaps that matter most.

With over six years in IT, Zainab is most at home in the space between offense and defense, and she is happiest when a finding she reported quietly disappears from the next test run.
