Development of a Survey Mobile App for Auditing Shops and Restaurants

An iOS Audit App That Needed Android and Windows Editions

The Client was developing the iOS version of a mobile app for audit companies but did not have enough in-house competence to build the Android and Windows versions. They needed both apps developed natively from scratch, integrated with the back end, and published on Google Play and the Microsoft Store.

Native Android and Windows Apps With Offline Dynamic Questionnaires

After two months of work, INNERLUXES's mobile development teams delivered native Android and Windows versions of the audit app, with designers creating a UI to match the Client's iOS version. Once the Client provided the necessary data-transfer information, both apps were thoroughly tested and successfully integrated with the back end. The apps were built around field auditors' real working conditions:

• Template-driven questionnaires — after an auditor logs in, the home menu shows multiple pre-made questionnaire templates; an audit company can upload new templates to its local server in a custom file format, which the app converts and displays as dynamic forms with questions and answer fields.
• Up to 16 answer types — questions support a range of answer types, from simple text input and multiple choice to image attachment and a timer (so an auditor can record, for example, how long an order takes to be processed in a restaurant).
• Auto-saved progress — the form is saved automatically after each answer, so if a user accidentally closes the app they can reopen it and either continue the unfinished questionnaire or start a new one.
• Fully offline operation — completed forms are sent to the audit company's server and stored there indefinitely, and because the app works entirely offline, the upload can happen without an internet connection.

Two Published Apps and Ongoing Support

• Both apps were released to Google Play and the Microsoft Store.
• After release, the Client asked INNERLUXES for continuous application support.
• The Android and Windows teams continue to provide support and deliver updates according to the Client's change requests.
