How an INNERLUXES engagement runs

From idea to running product — in five working phases.

Each phase ends with a working artifact and a clear handoff. You always know which sprint you’re in, which engineers are on it, and what shows up next.

Phase 01 · Week 1–201 / 05

Scoping & Architecture

Two weeks of focused work between your team and one of our senior leads. We translate business goals into a working scope, draft the system architecture, and write every assumption down before the first commit. By the end you have a plan you’ll sign and a team you’ve already met.

Phase 02 · Week 2–402 / 05

Product Design

Flows go in front of real users within days, not weeks. The visual system is built in browser as soon as the journey locks, so engineering inherits production-ready CSS tokens and components — not screenshots to copy from.

Phase 03 · Week 4–1203 / 05

Engineering Sprints

Two-week cycles, with a working build at the end of each one. Our senior engineers own the code that ships; AI assists with scaffolding, refactors, and test coverage — every line is human-reviewed before it merges. You see the product growing, not just status pages.

Phase 04 · Week 10–1404 / 05

Release & Cutover

Staging mirrors the exact conditions production will see — same data shapes, same load profile, same integrations. After an independent security pass and a full week of soak time, the same team that built the system runs the cutover alongside yours during business hours.

Phase 05 · Ongoing05 / 05

Run & Evolve

Production support stays with the engineers who built the platform — no new team to brief, no context lost. Monthly platform reports, SLA-backed response, and a continuous release pipeline keep the roadmap moving without re-onboarding.

FAQ on Software Engineering

Does INNERLUXES cover all stages of the SDLC?

Absolutely — this is our core service. We’ve built a strong team of 132 senior IT professionals (consultants, architects, software engineers, data scientists, security, DevOps, and QA engineers) to take charge of everything from requirements elicitation and software design to coding, deployment, and post-launch support.

Our approach ›

Can INNERLUXES speed up the delivery of projects?

Yes. Depending on project size, we typically deliver MVPs in 1–6 weeks. After that, we ship new functionality every 1–2 weeks. Get in touch and we’ll outline a pace that fits your project.

Share my needs ›

What’s the cost for your software development services?

Costs depend on scope, complexity, and timeline. After a discovery call, we provide a transparent quote with clear milestones and no hidden management overhead.

You can request a free project cost calculation from INNERLUXES, or read more in our recent guide.

Get a quote ›

What’s your post-launch policy?

During the first 1–3 months after software launch, our team:

  • Answers your and users’ questions, resolves user issues (if any).
  • Manages incidents, configuration changes, and updates.

After 3 months, upon agreement, we offer continuous maintenance and evolution of your software, as well as L1–L3 support (if required). We know how to nurture long-term partnerships — most INNERLUXES clients return for round two and stay on for years.

What is your preferred development methodology?

For most of our software engineering projects, we use Scrum with 2–3 week iterations. For small and midsize projects with clearly defined, unchanging requirements — or projects requiring formal approvals (governmental, large-enterprise, strict compliance) — we can opt for Waterfall. In support and evolution projects, we mostly follow Kanban. In many engagements, it makes sense to combine approaches or switch mid-project; the most common patterns we run are ‘Waterfall → Scrum’ and ‘Scrum → Kanban → Scrum.’

Effective collaboration ›

How do you control the quality of the software you deliver?

We take a shift-left approach to QA, follow international coding standards, and maintain a rigorous quality management system — with senior engineer sign-off on every pull request.

Our QA practices ›

What does “AI-augmented development” actually mean at INNERLUXES?

Concretely, three things. First, scaffolding: AI generates the boilerplate, fixtures, and migration drafts our seniors would otherwise hand-write. Second, pattern lift: when we’ve already shipped a similar capability in a past engagement, AI brings the proven scaffolding forward so we’re tuning, not re-discovering. Third, test coverage: AI proposes test cases, the senior engineer accepts or rewrites them, then they run on every commit. Architecture choices, security trade-offs, and what ships in a release stay 100% with the humans.

How much does a typical project cost?

Costs depend on scope, complexity, and timeline. After a discovery call, we provide a transparent quote with clear milestones and no hidden management overhead.

What engagement models do you offer?

Three, picked by how much you want to own:

  • Team augmentation — our seniors plug into your existing team under your direct management. Useful when the gap is specific skills.
  • Dedicated team — a managed group owns a defined slice of the work, reporting through a team lead. Useful when you have a backlog but no headcount.
  • Full outsourcing — we own planning, people, quality, and the risk. Useful when you want the outcome and not the operational load.

You can switch between them as the project evolves — many clients start with one and move to another at a milestone.

What’s the first step to start a project?

A 30–45 minute discovery call with a senior architect (not a sales rep). You walk us through the problem you’re solving and any constraints; we ask the questions that surface the real scope and tell you honestly whether we’re the right fit. If we are, within 3–5 business days you’ll have a written scope, a proposed team roster, a fixed-scope estimate, and an honest timeline.

Who will work on my project?

Senior engineers with hands-on production experience. No juniors hidden behind an account manager. A typical engagement has up to 20 named specialists — an architect, lead developers across the relevant stacks, a dedicated PM, QA, and DevOps. You meet every key person on the kickoff call, and the same team operates the platform after launch — no re-onboarding when something needs a fix at month nine.

How do you ensure AI-generated code quality?

The rule is simple: nothing AI-drafted merges without a senior engineer reading every line. Beyond that, every PR runs the same gauntlet a human-written PR runs — static analysis, automated test suite, security scanners, dependency audit, and a manual review against the architecture brief. We also keep a small allow-list of patterns AI is permitted to draft (boilerplate, fixtures, doc strings) and explicitly exclude others (auth flows, payment paths, schema migrations) from AI generation.
