What a Fixed-Price Software Project Looks Like With Us
Most software development companies price by the hour and discover the real scope while your money is being spent. I run INNERLUXES the other way round, and it changes the first month of every project.
Before you pay anything. You send the brief, or the half-finished system, or the deck the board approved. Within one business day you get back a written note: what we understood, what we did not, which decisions we would make differently, and a fixed price for either the build or, if the brief is thin, a short scoping phase. Nothing is invoiced yet. The NDA is signed before that note is written.
The number is the number. When the price is agreed, that is the invoice. Not a range, not an estimate that firms up later, not a rate card. If my team underestimated, that is our cost, not yours. If you change direction, you get a separate short quote to approve first. I have lost money on a handful of projects this way in ten years; I have never sent a client a surprise.
What you can check while we work. A weekly written report in plain language, the running build in a staging environment you can open, and every pull request reviewed by a senior engineer before it lands. The repository is in your organisation from day one, so if you stopped paying tomorrow you would still have everything.

Absolutely — this is our core service. We’ve built a strong team of 132 senior IT professionals (consultants, architects, software engineers, data scientists, security, DevOps, and QA engineers) to take charge of everything from requirements elicitation and software design to coding, deployment, and post-launch support.
Our quality and information security management audits are under way and the certificates have not been issued yet, so there is no registry link to check and we will not send a certificate image in its place. What we can show today: our public UpGuard security rating (grade A, live in the site footer), a documented information security management system with a named Information Security Officer, and signed contractual commitments: NDA before any material reaches us, no protected data in development environments, deletion confirmed in writing at the end. A client who asked exactly this question in August 2026 told us the written assurance was more useful than a certificate would have been.
INNERLUXES is registered as a US LLC in Wyoming and as a Private Limited company, and the engineering is done by our own employees, not subcontractors. The senior engineers you meet during evaluation are the ones on your project; we do not swap them for juniors after the contract is signed. If your compliance or grant paperwork needs the delivery location stated, we put it in writing before you sign anything.
It always does, a little. Small changes inside the agreed scope are absorbed; that is what the fixed price is for. A real change of direction gets its own short written quote, you approve it or you do not, and the original number does not move either way. You will never receive an invoice for hours you did not know were being spent.
You do, from the first commit. The repository sits in your GitHub or Azure DevOps organisation, the cloud accounts are in your name, and the documentation is written so that an engineer who has never met us can run the system. Several clients have moved delivery in-house after launch and kept us on a small support retainer; that is a normal outcome, not a failure.
Yes, always, and before the first technical call. Send yours or use ours. Most of what we build is under NDA, which is why the case studies on this site describe how we build a class of system rather than naming the client behind it.
We do not quote the whole thing blind. Quoting blind is guessing, and the client pays for the guess. For a well-defined brief the fixed price comes within one business day. For a vague one we quote a short scoping phase first, hand you a written scope and architecture you own, and then put a fixed number on the build. The second quote is based on documents, not hope.
Yes, and I would rather show you how than promise a number. The first production release of a typical product goes out in weeks, not quarters, because scoping and architecture are done before the first sprint, not during it. During the first 1–3 months after software launch, our team:
- Answers your and users’ questions, resolves user issues (if any).

After 3 months, upon agreement, we offer continuous maintenance and evolution of your software, as well as L1–L3 support (if required). We know how to nurture long-term partnerships — most INNERLUXES clients return for round two and stay on for years.
For most of our software engineering projects, we use Scrum with 2–3 week iterations. For small and midsize projects with clearly defined, unchanging requirements — or projects requiring formal approvals (governmental, large-enterprise, strict compliance) — we can opt for Waterfall. In support and evolution projects, we mostly follow Kanban. In many engagements, it makes sense to combine approaches or switch mid-project; the most common patterns we run are ‘Waterfall → Scrum’ and ‘Scrum → Kanban → Scrum.’
We take a shift-left approach to QA, follow international coding standards, and maintain a rigorous quality management system — with senior engineer sign-off on every pull request.
Concretely, three things. First, scaffolding: AI generates the boilerplate, fixtures, and migration drafts our seniors would otherwise hand-write. Second, pattern lift: when we’ve already shipped a similar capability in a past engagement, AI brings the proven scaffolding forward so we’re tuning, not re-discovering. Third, test coverage: AI proposes test cases, the senior engineer accepts or rewrites them, then they run on every commit. Architecture choices, security trade-offs, and what ships in a release stay 100% with the humans.

If we are, within 3–5 business days you’ll have a written scope, a proposed team roster, a fixed-scope estimate, and an honest timeline.

A typical engagement has up to 20 named specialists — an architect, lead developers across the relevant stacks, a dedicated PM, QA, and DevOps. You meet every key person on the kickoff call, and the same team operates the platform after launch — no re-onboarding when something needs a fix at month nine.
The rule is simple: nothing AI-drafted merges without a senior engineer reading every line. Beyond that, every PR runs the same gauntlet a human-written PR runs — static analysis, automated test suite, security scanners, dependency audit, and a manual review against the architecture brief. We also keep a small allow-list of patterns AI is permitted to draft (boilerplate, fixtures, doc strings) and explicitly exclude others (auth flows, payment paths, schema migrations) from AI generation.
