Global Marketing Campaign and Loyalty Management Platforms
Summary
We build marketing management platforms that give a distributed organisation one place to plan campaigns, run loyalty programmes and see what is happening across markets while activity is still in flight. Local offices plan and execute regionally while central teams need comparable visibility everywhere. This kind of engagement covers campaign planning with structured briefs, approvals and calendars, progress tracking against plan, budget allocation across regions and channels, loyalty programme and member management, and analytics over behaviour across channels.
The Challenge
The value of such a platform comes from comparability: a campaign in one market has to be measurable on the same terms as a campaign in another. That is precisely what erodes first. Where reference data is not centrally governed, regions quietly build parallel taxonomies in free-text fields and cross-market reporting stops working. Marketing processes also differ between regions more than stakeholders expect, and those differences only surface when a real campaign is planned in the system.
Operating across countries adds constraints that are easy to underestimate. Currency handling needs recorded rates and a defined conversion point so restated budgets remain explainable. Localisation covers language, date and number formats, fiscal calendars and local approval rules. Personal data collected for loyalty and behavioural analytics falls under regional privacy regimes with differing consent, residency, retention and deletion requirements. Multi-channel behavioural tracking needs identity resolution, because the same person appears with different identifiers in each channel. Budgets treated as mutable fields leave no audit history, and analytics run against the transactional store slow the planning work the platform exists to support.
The Solution
Core components
- A hierarchy model representing brand, region, market and office, with inherited permissions.
- A budget engine in which every allocation, transfer and commitment is an auditable transaction rather than an editable number.
- A campaign state machine with explicit approval gates.
- A reporting layer separated from the transactional store, so heavy analytical queries never slow planning.
- Reference data for channels, product categories and market definitions, centrally governed but locally extensible.
- Consent state modelled as first-class data attached to every member record and honoured throughout the analytics pipeline.
Integration and analytics
Integration commonly spans email and messaging platforms, advertising and social channels, ecommerce and point-of-sale systems, finance for actual spend, and a data warehouse for consolidated reporting. Identity resolution sits between channel data and any behavioural view, and currency conversion points are recorded so restated figures can be explained later.
How we build and evolve it
We start with business analysis: consultants and analysts map existing marketing processes and the needs of both central and local users, then translate them into prioritised requirements. Delivery is iterative under Scrum, beginning with a scalable core version that real users can operate and extending from there, because regional differences surface only in real use. We apply DevOps practice from the outset with automated build and release pipelines and environment parity, and continuous testing across functionality, performance, usability and security, so frequent releases do not accumulate regression risk.
Support model
Platforms used across time zones need a structured support model rather than ad hoc developer attention. Support is organised in tiers: a first line handling access, usage questions and known issues; a second line for configuration and data problems; and a third line of engineers for defects and changes, with defined escalation paths, service targets and a shared knowledge base. Recurring first-line themes are the cheapest available signal about where the product is confusing, and end-user feedback captured during support feeds the roadmap as a standing input.
What This Delivers
Central teams see campaigns, budgets and loyalty activity across markets on comparable terms while activity is still running, instead of reconstructing it afterwards from regional spreadsheets. Local marketers plan in a system that accommodates their own approval rules, currency and calendar, so they have no reason to work around it. Budget movements carry an audit history, consent is enforced through the analytics pipeline rather than promised alongside it, and analytical load never competes with planning work.
Technologies and Tools
Cloud-native hosting on AWS, a browser front end, and a relational transactional core such as Microsoft SQL Server holding campaigns, budgets, members and entitlements, with a separated reporting layer and a data warehouse for consolidated analytics. Delivery runs on automated build and release pipelines with continuous functional, performance, usability and security testing under Scrum.
