Expanding a Clinical Solution for Everyday Practice Workflows

The Client needed to improve and expand a solution for carrying out daily clinical routines such as examination and treatment, billing, and reporting. INNERLUXES was chosen from a group of medical app development companies for its 11 years of experience in healthcare IT solutions.

A Web App With Code Suggestions and a DICOM Gateway

INNERLUXES's team created a comprehensive web application with extended functionality for small and mid-size practices, including:

First and foremost, the user has a dashboard with direct access to Messages, Workflow, Patient Overview, and Reminders. It helps the health professional instantly check the inbox, access patient information, and keep track of upcoming events such as patient examinations or discharges.

Workflow is a key feature in health specialists' daily round, as it allows them to place an order for a specific examination, check the visit schedule, and track exam results. There is no need to type in the exact CPT code or name (for example, abdominal ultrasound) or ICD code or name (for example, gastroesophageal reflux disease). The user can choose the needed procedure or diagnosis from a list using convenient search by any substring.

The system is also backed by a DICOM gateway, which uploads orders for examination, converts them into the DICOM format, and sends them to the application of the particular medical equipment. When a diagnostic image (X-ray, ECG tracing, tomogram, etc.) is taken, the gateway uploads it back to the system, automatically attaching the image to the relevant patient's record.
