About the project

Our Front-End engineers collaborate with the US company Digital Oilfield Solutions, with upgrades to web-based solutions optimizing oil and gas field equipment, to answer primary queries regarding the condition and performance of the equipment..

Challenge

The challenge was to incorporate the right, updated technologies to elevate the software, enhance customer experience, and enable scalability and compatibility with mobile.

Solution

For the last seven years, the Blackthorn Vision team has been assisting with the upgrades of the existing web-based applications by improving customer experience.

The application in question was to compute, analyze, control and communicate the parameters required to optimize production of naturally flowing wells. This application was built to suit the operators and maintenance staff of the petroleum companies to monitor the status and productivity of the oil and gas wells and other equipment along with streamlining employee status.

All business and operational queries are solved by clean, accurate, and comprehensive analytics. This involves monitoring, collcting, and contextualizing large streams of data, and presenting it to workers in the form of useful, actionable insights.

Analytics may also encompass trends in the behavior and performance of artificial lift systems, real-time performance and alarm data from surface processing skids, remote wellhead monitoring systems, and multiwell pad insights regarding downhole and reservoir conditions.

Depending on the extraction status, a Surveillance Engineer may decide to start or shut down well processes, e.g., in case of equipment clogging or breakage – to prevent greater damage. This useful feature allows monitoring processes in real-time and immediately reacting to emergencies.
