Reaching More Care Scenarios With Trauma-Focused Features

To enlarge the client base of its iOS care management application, the Client needed to extend it with wound management, health risk assessment, and patient fall analysis features that would serve more specific cases of care provision. Wound Management, Risk Assessment, and Fall Analysis

The INNERLUXES medical app development team designed and implemented three capabilities for the Client's iOS care management app:

• Wound management. To make wound treatment for trauma patients more organized, visual, and effective, doctors can review a patient's wounds under treatment — each with its type, the time of the last check, and a link to the care plan — and add new wounds by describing or selecting the type, marking the position on a body image, and adding the anamnesis. Doctors and patients can upload wound photos to record treatment progress, using an AR-based wound measurement function.
• Risk assessment. Doctors can assess decubitus risk, fall-risk rating, and pain rating for each patient by completing a questionnaire, building up long-term data on a patient's condition that supports better care-plan decisions.
• Fall reports and analysis. Physicians can use data about patients' falls to make fast, accurate care-plan changes. A new fall report captures the date and time, location, medications taken before the fall, the circumstances, and more — and because the app connects to medical wearables, the patient's vitals at the time of the fall can be added to the medical record automatically.

A Broader Client Base and More Market Share

The Client received an enhanced iOS application that organizes care for trauma patients far more effectively, and with the upgraded app it was able to extend its client base and increase its market share.
