Migration of a Real Estate Company Web Application from .NET to PHP
Summary
A large real estate company ran five aging .NET websites — one per market segment — whose performance had degraded over the years, but it had no technical documentation for any of them. INNERLUXES reverse-engineered the legacy sites, recreated their specifications from scratch, and rebuilt all five on a PHP stack within six months, integrating the federal real estate database feed and adding a CMS promo-site constructor that automatically generates profile pages for registered agents.
About the Client
The Client is a large real estate company with more than 100 offices across the country, providing full-scale real estate services including development, investment consulting, brokerage, rentals, and sales.
Five Aging, Undocumented .NET Websites
The Client operated five .NET websites, each serving a distinct real estate segment — Apartments, Countryside Real Estate, New Buildings, Rental, and Commercial Property. The performance of these legacy sites had degraded over the years, prompting a revamp, but the work was complicated by the complete lack of technical documentation. The Client entrusted INNERLUXES with the revamp despite the absence of specifications.
Reverse Engineering and a PHP Rebuild
INNERLUXES reverse-engineered the legacy websites and recreated their technical specifications from scratch. Using the data available on the sites and data feeds from the federal real estate database, the team built new websites on a PHP stack. INNERLUXES also created a promo-site constructor — a CMS component that automatically generates profile pages for the registered real estate agents.
